Santa Fe inaugurates major sports venues for 2026 South American Games
The province of Santa Fe is finalizing preparations for the XIII South American Games 2026, scheduled for September 12 to 26. Key infrastructure projects have been inaugurated to host the international event, which will feature over 4,000 athletes from 15 countries competing in 43 sports.
In Rosario, the new Provincial Aquatic Center has opened, providing facilities for swimming, water polo, and artistic swimming. Additionally, the Invencible Arena and Invencible Rosario have been established as part of the city's sports expansion. In Recreo, the Invencible International Shooting Center has been inaugurated, featuring 80 shooting lines and international-standard technology for shotgun disciplines.
Other venues include the Invencible Velodrome in Rafaela and the Invencible Santa Fe at the High Performance Sports Center (CARD) in the capital. The official competition schedule has been released, detailing venues and times for more than 40 disciplines. To lead the Argentine delegation, the Olympic Committee has named paddle athlete Rubén Rézola and field hockey player Sofía Cairó as flag bearers.
