Rosario named official candidate for the 2029 Junior Pan American Games

Panam Sports officially confirmed that Rosario, Argentina, together with Guatemala City and Panama City, will compete for the hosting rights of the III Junior Pan American Games in 2029. The three cities satisfied all technical requirements and submitted the required dossiers, advancing to the evaluation stage that will include site visits and a technical review.

The final vote is slated for the Panam Sports General Assembly in Lima, Peru on 27‑28 August 2026. The multi‑sport event will involve athletes aged 12‑22 from the 41 National Olympic Committees in the Americas. Rosario, which previously hosted the 2022 South American Youth Games, the 2019 Beach Games and will stage the 2026 South American Games, highlighted its experience, while Jimena Saldaña, Secretary General of Panam Sports, said, “We are very happy and proud that three great cities have shown interest in hosting the most important youth multisport event in the Americas.”
