Rosario parents arrested for alleged drug supply to child

Police in Rosario, Argentina, have arrested a 47-year-old man and woman following an investigation into the alleged drug supply to their child. The incident began on September 8, when the minor was rushed to the Hospital de Niños Víctor J. Vilela after suffering severe seizures.

Medical examinations conducted after the child was stabilized confirmed the presence of cocaine in his system. Following the toxicological report, hospital authorities notified the judiciary, prompting an investigation by the Police of Investigations (PDI) and the Highly Harmful Violence Unit (UVAL).

The parents, identified as Pablo B. and Valeria C., were apprehended in public this Thursday. They face formal charges of attempted homicide aggravated by their relationship to the victim, combined with the aggravated supply of narcotics to a minor.
