Rosario police detain two sisters and a drug‑lord’s sister in crackdown on micro‑trafficking

Police in Rosario arrested two sisters in the Vía Honda neighbourhood for continuing a micro‑trafficking network despite being under house arrest for previous federal drug charges. Authorities say the sisters were linked to a local circuit tied to the “Milanesa” group and their detention aims to dismantle the neighbourhood’s drug trade.

In a separate operation, police also captured Yanina Alvarado, the sister of notorious local drug leader Esteban Lindor Alvarado, after she was found carrying a concealed .22 pistol on a public street. Prosecutors have moved to revoke her domiciliary sentence and order her transfer to a penitentiary, adding a new weapon‑possession charge and a pending cocaine‑trafficking case. Both arrests are part of a broader federal investigation targeting drug distribution networks in Rosario’s western and northern districts.
