Rosario selected as host for 2029 Pan American Junior Games

Rosario has been selected as the host city for the 2029 Pan American Junior Games. The decision was announced during the Panam Sports General Assembly in Lima, Peru, where Rosario won the vote against Guatemala City.

The city's bid was supported by the Santa Fe provincial government and the Argentine Olympic Committee. The project focuses on four pillars: Rosario's sporting identity, its experience in hosting major events, the creation of a Pan American Unique Park, and a Pan American Village. The plan aims to utilize infrastructure from the upcoming 2026 South American Games, including a capacity for over 4,000 beds.

Rosario is also preparing to host the 2026 South American Games in September, which will be shared with Santa Fe and Rafaela. Local officials, including Mayor Pablo Javkin and Governor Maximiliano Pullaro, stated that this selection recognizes the city's commitment to sports and will place it at the center of the continental sporting scene.
