Rosario Torrisi retires after four decades as Lecco Police chief
Commissario Capo Rosario Torrisi concluded a 40‑year career with the Italian Police on 31 July 2026. He joined the force in 1986 as an auxiliary agent, served in the Mobile Unit in Rome, then at the Rome Questura, and in 1990 was promoted to vice‑inspector and assigned to the Milan Questura, where he worked at the Cenisio commissariat until 1999.
In 1999 Torrisi transferred to the Questura of Lecco. From 2007 he headed the Immigration Office, a role he maintained until his retirement. During the farewell ceremony, Questore Stefania Marrazzo praised his ability to manage complex immigration matters, his balanced leadership, and his commitment to training younger officers. Torrisi is remembered for his professionalism, dedication, and the personal rapport he built with colleagues throughout his four‑decade service.
