Rosatom highlights global nuclear leadership at Eurasia Economic Forum

Rosatom, the Russian state nuclear energy corporation, participated as a partner in the 19th Verona Eurasia Economic Forum held in Istanbul. The forum focused on international cooperation between European and Asian nations.

During a session titled ‘Energy in Motion: New Players and Solutions’, Kirill Komarov, Rosatom’s First Deputy General Director for Development and International Business Development, stated that the company maintains its global leadership despite external political pressures. Komarov noted that Rosatom is currently constructing 45 power units across 10 countries, including Russia.

He further highlighted that the company holds approximately 90 percent of the global nuclear power plant export market. Rosatom has also secured world-first export contracts for small-scale nuclear power plant construction and electricity supply from floating nuclear power units. The forum also featured discussions on large-scale infrastructure projects, such as the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, and included a photo exhibition detailing the construction stages of the Akkuyu project.
