Rose, Montenegro: A scenic fishing village on the Luštica peninsula

The fishing village of Rose, located on the northwest coast of the Luštica peninsula in Montenegro, is noted for its traditional stone houses and crystal-clear waters. Situated two kilometers by sea from Herceg Novi, the village remains an environmental whole preserved from modern architecture.

Visitors often travel to Rose by boat from Herceg Novi to avoid the 45-kilometer drive. The area features several small beaches that experience high occupancy during the summer season. Local tourism officials note that the village is particularly popular with tourists from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, driven in part by its photogenic qualities on social media.
