Roseanne Barr attacks former co-star Michael Fishman in podcast tirade

Comedian Roseanne Barr launched a profanity-laced verbal attack against her former sitcom co-star Michael Fishman during an appearance on the ‘Can’t Be Censored’ podcast. The outburst follows recent comments made by Fishman, who played Barr’s on-screen son, D.J. Conner, in which he stated that the 2018 ‘Roseanne’ revival was ‘rightfully canceled.’

Barr, who was dismissed from her ABC series in 2018 following a controversial tweet regarding former Obama adviser Valerie Jarrett, labeled Fishman a ‘brainwashed bigot’ and a ‘little f—king worm.’ She claimed Fishman lacks the ‘geopolitical context’ to understand her original remarks and accused him of being influenced by the Democratic Party. Barr also alleged that she was the primary reason Fishman was retained for the show’s reboot.

The feud stems from the 2018 controversy where Barr’s social media posts were widely condemned as racist, leading ABC to cancel the revival and eventually retool the series as ‘The Conners.’ Fishman had previously defended the cancellation, arguing that dehumanizing rhetoric carries real-world consequences.
