Roseanne Barr's new sitcom Meemaw lacks network deal
Roseanne Barr has independently filmed eight episodes of a new sitcom titled ‘Meemaw’, but the project currently lacks a confirmed network or streaming platform for distribution. Filmed in Austin, Texas, the comedy features Barr as the matriarch of a survivalist family.
Reports indicate that major networks including ABC, NBC, and CBS have shown no interest in the series, and major streaming platforms have also been reluctant to acquire it. While Newsmax is reportedly being explored as a potential home for the show, no official deal has been announced.
The production features a cast including Randy Quaid, Tony Hinchcliffe, Drea de Matteo, and Jon Lovitz. This project marks Barr's attempt at a television comeback following the 2018 cancellation of her previous revival by ABC.
