Rosengård voter turnout rises amid focus on Palestine issue

In the Rosengård district of Malmö, voter turnout increased by nearly 13 percentage points, reaching over 66 percent. Local voters suggest that the conflict in Gaza and the stance on the Palestine issue played a decisive role in their voting decisions.

Some residents indicated that the Left Party (Vänsterpartiet) gained support in the area due to its position on the Palestine issue and its social welfare policies. Anfal Mahdi, an opposition councilor in Malmö for the Left Party, attributed the success to a combination of economic concerns, migration policy, and the party's stance on Palestine.
