Rosenheim‑Cops undergoes major cast shift and actor anxiety ahead of new season
Germany’s long‑running crime series “Rosenheim‑Cops” will see a notable cast reshuffle in its 26th season, set to air from autumn 2026. Actress Sarah Thonig moves into the central role of police secretary, succeeding Marisa Burger, who departed after roughly 25 years in the part of Miriam Stockl. Thonig, formerly known as Christin Lange, said the transition feels “exciting” but expressed concern about how fans will react to the change.
Meanwhile veteran cast member Karin Thaler, 61, disclosed that live TV appearances for the show’s promotion cause her intense nervousness, describing the experience as “fearful” and “sweaty.” Thaler has been promoting her autobiography on talk shows and will embark on a reading tour in autumn 2026, including a scheduled event on 10 October at the Bürgerhaus in Unterföhring. She noted that she feels far more comfortable speaking at book readings than on television, and former co‑star Marisa Burger commented on Thaler’s anxiety during these promotions.
