Roseto degli Abruzzi faces delays on PalaMaggetti sports complex project

Political groups in Roseto degli Abruzzi, including SiAmo Roseto, Fratelli d'Italia, Noi Moderati, and Forza Roseto, have raised concerns regarding the lack of progress on the PalaMaggetti sports complex. Despite receiving 2 million euros in funding from the Abruzzo Region, no construction work has commenced at the site.

The facility, described as the largest indoor sports complex in Abruzzo, was added to the regional funding program following requests from sports federations. The project includes approximately 1.1 million euros for technical upgrades such as photovoltaics, lighting, electrical continuity, scoreboards, and air conditioning. Although the municipal administration approved the project framework in February 2025 and promised rapid progress, the construction timeline originally slated for late 2024 has not been met.
