Roseto opposition raises environmental concerns over unfinished public works

Opposition groups in Roseto, including SiAmo Roseto, Fratelli d'Italia, Noi Moderati, and Forza Roseto, have raised alarms regarding unfinished public works at a former dovecote. The administration spent approximately 110,000 euros on what was intended to be a remediation and safety operation on private property.

Critics report that the resulting waste material remains deposited on-site rather than being disposed of according to regulations. There are serious concerns that the material may contain asbestos, based on technical indications found on the packaging present at the site. The opposition is calling for immediate verification by technical and health authorities to prevent the potential dispersal of fibers into the environment, which could threaten public health and contaminate soil and water.
