Roseville resident identified after body found in Marin Headlands

Authorities have identified the man found dead at the base of a cliff in the Marin Headlands as 57-year-old Michael Young Han, a resident of Roseville in Placer County.

The incident was reported on Wednesday morning by a hiker who spotted an unresponsive person near Rodeo Beach and Hawk Tail Beach Cove, east of the Golden Gate Bridge. Due to the treacherous and rocky terrain, land and marine first responders faced difficulties reaching the individual. Upon arrival at the bottom of the cliff, personnel confirmed the man was deceased.

The U.S. Park Police is serving as the lead investigative unit, alongside the Marin County Sheriff’s Office. A forensic post-mortem examination and routine toxicology testing are expected to be completed early next week. The cause of death remains under investigation.
