Rosewood Hong Kong named World’s Best Hotel for 2026
Rosewood Hong Kong has been named the World’s Best Hotel for 2026, marking its second consecutive year at the top spot. The announcement was made at a ceremony in Paris as part of The 50 Best Hotels awards.
Following the winner, Capella Bangkok secured second place, and Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River took third. Asia showed strong performance with 18 hotels on the list, while Europe led the overall count with 21 entries. Notable European highlights include Passalacqua in Lake Como, Italy, which ranked fifth and was named the best boutique hotel for the third year running.
Other regional leaders include Capella Sydney, named the best hotel in Oceania at number 16. The Peninsula Hotels group also saw success, with its Istanbul and Hong Kong properties ranking within the top 50, and its Shanghai location appearing on the extended list. The rankings are determined by an academy of over 800 industry experts.
