Rosewood Hong Kong named world's best hotel for second year

The 2026 edition of ‘The 50 Best Hotels’ was announced in Paris, with Rosewood Hong Kong securing the top position for the second consecutive year. The hotel was also recognized as the best hotel in Asia.

Following Rosewood Hong Kong, Capella Bangkok and Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River took second and third place, respectively. Other notable entries in the top ten include Atlantis The Royal in Dubai, Passalacqua in Italy, Rosewood São Paulo, Mandarin Oriental Qianmen in Beijing, The Upper House Hong Kong, Chablé Yucatán in Mexico, and Mandarin Oriental Bangkok.

Passalacqua, located on Lake Como, was named the highest-ranked European hotel at fifth place and earned its third consecutive title as the best boutique hotel. Regionally, Europe held the largest share of the list with 21 hotels, followed by Asia with 18. The Rosewood hotel group also received the ‘Most Admired Hotel Group Award’ for its overall portfolio excellence.
