Rosewood Hong Kong named world’s best hotel in 2026 rankings

The 2026 ‘The 50 Best Hotels’ rankings have been released, with Rosewood Hong Kong retaining its title as the best hotel in the world for the second consecutive year. Located in a 65-story skyscraper overlooking Victoria Harbour, the property features 413 rooms, 11 restaurants and bars, and the Asaya wellness spa.

While Asia maintains the top spot, Europe showed strong representation with 21 properties in the list. The highest-ranked European hotel is Passalacqua on Lake Como, Italy, which holds the fifth position and has been named the best boutique hotel for three consecutive years. Other notable European entries include Four Seasons Firenze in Italy.

In Latin America, Rosewood São Paulo rose 18 positions to rank sixth globally, earning the title of the best hotel in Latin America. General Manager Marie-Berengere Chapoton attributed this success to personalized service, staff training, and an emphasis on Brazilian identity through architecture, art, and gastronomy.
