Rosie O’Donnell concludes Kimmel hosting stint with Trump parody song
Rosie O’Donnell concluded a four-night stint guest-hosting ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ with a series of monologues and a musical performance targeting President Donald Trump. During her final episode, O’Donnell performed a parody of the Irish song ‘Danny Boy,’ using the melody to mock the President’s appearance, polling numbers, and foreign policy. In the song, she urged him to resign, stating, “Since we all know you’ll never be Obama, why not resign and make this country great again?”
Throughout her hosting week, O’Donnell frequently used nicknames such as “orange Voldemort” and “Mango Mussolini.” She also addressed her recent relocation to Ireland, noting she had moved there to distance herself from U.S. politics.
The White House responded to her remarks with a sharp statement. Spokesperson Davis Ingle described O’Donnell as “a nasty woman and a total slob whose brain has been completely destroyed by Trump Derangement Syndrome.” This exchange reignites a long-standing public feud between O’Donnell and Trump that dates back to her time on ‘The View.’
