Rosignano Solvay: Calderone to file motion over missed patron saint celebrations

In Rosignano Solvay, Calderone of the Brothers of Italy (FdI) has announced plans to present a motion to the city council following the absence of the Marabotti administration from the local patron saint celebrations.

The controversy stems from the October 1st celebration of Santa Teresa del Bambin Gesù. Calderone argued that the administration's absence, which some justified through the principle of institutional secularism, fails to respect the community's history and identity. Calderone noted that participating in religious traditions does not conflict with secularism, citing President Sergio Mattarella's participation in celebrations for San Francesco d'Assisi as a precedent.
