Rositsa Dencheva reaches singles semifinals in Serbia
Bulgarian tennis player Rositsa Dencheva has advanced to the singles semifinals at the clay court tournament in Kuršumlija Banja, Serbia. The tournament features a prize pool of $40,000.
Dencheva, aged 19, secured her spot after a comeback victory against the tournament's top seed, Selena Janicijevic of France. After losing the first set 5:7, Dencheva dominated the subsequent sets, winning 6:1, 6:1 in a match lasting approximately two hours and 20 minutes.
Dencheva, who is currently ranked 299th in the world, will face either Elena Milovanovic or Anya Stankovic in the upcoming matches. Additionally, she is scheduled to compete in the doubles semifinals alongside partner Maria Golovina of Russia.
