Bulgarian tennis players advance in Antalya WTA 125 tournament

Bulgarian tennis players Rositsa Dencheva and Elizara Yaneva have advanced to the second round of the WTA 125 clay court tournament in Antalya, Turkey.

Rositsa Dencheva secured her place in the main draw after winning two qualifying matches. Following a victory against Adelina Lacinova, Dencheva defeated local player Ipek Oz with a comeback score of 4:6, 7:5, 6:0. She is scheduled to face Francesca Jones in the second round.

Elizara Yaneva, the top-ranked Bulgarian player, also progressed to the second round of the main draw. After a split between the first and second sets, Yaneva overcame a 2:5 deficit in the deciding third set and saved three match points to defeat Veronika Falkowska 6:1, 1:6, 7:6(4). Her next opponent will be Zhikbek Kulambayeva.
