Roskilde Festival Group launches GRASP Festival to connect art and research
The Roskilde Festival Group is expanding its activities with the GRASP Festival, scheduled to run from October 1 to 3. The event focuses on themes of future hope and how to translate that hope into art, research, democracy, and concrete societal solutions. Signe Lopdrup, director of the Roskilde Festival Group, stated that the festival aims to bring together artists, researchers, politicians, businesses, and civil society to foster new ideas through cross-disciplinary engagement.
In a related emphasis on the transition from knowledge to action, Villum Fonden is increasing its focus on innovation within its distribution strategy. While maintaining its commitment to fundamental research in natural sciences and technology, the foundation aims to better bridge the gap between scientific insight and practical societal applications, particularly regarding challenges like climate change and energy storage.
