Rosoboronexport launches global campaign for Garpia-A1E drone

Rosoboronexport, the Russian state arms exporter, has launched a global marketing campaign for the Garpia-A1E, a long-range loitering munition developed by Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defence Corporation.

The drone features a flying-wing design with a gasoline-powered pusher propeller. According to Rosoboronexport Director General Alexander Mikheev, the Garpia-A1E is currently the only loitering munition on the global market capable of a 1,000 km range. The system can carry a warhead exceeding 50 kg and maintains a Circular Error Probable (CEP) of no more than 4 meters.

Technical specifications for the BLA-D munition include a maximum takeoff weight of 250 kg, a maximum speed of at least 170 km/h, and an endurance of at least six hours. The drone is designed to strike fixed strategic targets at precise coordinates. Rosoboronexport has indicated openness to negotiating local production in countries that maintain defense ties with Russia.
