Rosoboronexport to unveil Anti-Drone Dome at Russia-Africa Summit
Rosoboronexport, a subsidiary of the Rostec State Corporation, plans to present its “Anti-Drone Dome” concept during the third Russia-Africa Summit in Moscow on October 28–29, 2026.
The proposed multi-layered defense system is designed to protect civilian populations, military units, and critical infrastructure—such as energy plants, bridges, and industrial complexes—from unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) attacks. The system integrates advanced airspace surveillance, electronic warfare for drone suppression, kinetic weapons, and an automated command-and-control framework utilizing geoinformation data.
Developed in collaboration with Russian counter-UAS manufacturers and law enforcement agencies, the project incorporates combat data gathered from recent military and counter-terrorism operations. Specialized versions of the system are also intended to secure high-value cargo and convoys carrying high-profile individuals.
