Ross Chastain and Shane van Gisbergen to return to JR Motorsports in 2027

NASCAR Cup Series drivers Ross Chastain and Shane van Gisbergen will return to JR Motorsports for select O’Reilly Auto Parts Series events in 2027. The two Trackhouse Racing drivers will split driving responsibilities for the organization’s No. 9 Chevrolet Camaro entry for a third consecutive year.

Chastain and van Gisbergen have seen significant success in the No. 9 entry during their recent part-time stints. In the current season, the duo secured three victories and six of the entry’s nine top-10 finishes. Van Gisbergen has recorded two wins this season at Circuit of the Americas and Sonoma Raceway, while Chastain earned a victory at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Specific race schedules for both drivers in 2027 have not yet been determined. The announcement follows a period where the No. 9 entry has been utilized as an all-star vehicle, piloted by various competitors including Carson Kvapil, Jake Finch, and Lee Pulliam.
