Ross Chastain responds to Kevin Harvick regarding Trackhouse Racing contract

Ross Chastain has responded to comments made by Kevin Harvick regarding his future with Trackhouse Racing. During a podcast episode, Harvick suggested that Chastain’s position at the team might be in question, particularly following the news that Connor Zilisch will depart the organization for Hendrick Motorsports after 2027 and noting the strong performance and marketability of teammate Shane van Gisbergen.

Chastain dismissed the speculation, noting that his current contract runs through the conclusion of the 2027 NASCAR Cup Series season. He characterized Harvick’s remarks as typical podcast commentary, stating, “That’s a long ways away. It’s the way our sport goes. People are going to start talking about it. And, that’s why Kevin’s on a podcast.” Chastain added that he remains focused on his performance with the No. 1 car.
