Ross Valory dismisses potential Journey reunion

Former Journey bassist Ross Valory has dismissed the possibility of a reunion with the band. Speaking on SiriusXM's ‘Trunk Nation With Eddie Trunk’, Valory stated that he has moved on from the legal and professional disputes that led to his departure in 2020.

Valory, who was dismissed alongside drummer Steve Smith following allegations of a corporate coup, noted that a settlement was reached and all parties have since moved on. He described his current relationship to the band as that of a ‘casual observer.’

Despite fan speculation regarding potential appearances by former members during Journey’s ‘Final Frontier’ farewell tour, Valory asserted, ‘Not that I know of, no,’ when asked about a reunion. He also addressed long-standing rumors regarding frontman Steve Perry, noting that Perry has repeatedly declined to return to the group.
