Rossella Farinotti appointed Artistic Director of MACTE

Rossella Farinotti, an art critic, curator, and journalist, has been named the new Artistic Director of the MACTE – Museo di Arte Contemporanea di Termoli. She is set to officially assume the role on December 1, 2026.

Farinotti was selected through a direct appointment process initiated by the Board of Directors and President Paolo De Matteis Larivera. She succeeds Caterina Riva, who has led the museum since September 2020. Farinotti’s appointment aims to guide the museum through its next developmental phases, focusing on artistic research, project planning, and regional engagement.

In her new capacity, Farinotti intends to leverage her experience in activating unconventional spaces to strengthen the museum's connection to the Molise territory. Her upcoming tenure will include overseeing the Termoli Prize, with two editions planned, one of which will coincide with the prize's tenth anniversary.
