Rossini Opera Festival 2026 in Pesaro Announces 32-Event Program

The 47th Rossini Opera Festival will take place in Pesaro from 11 to 23 August 2026, featuring a compact schedule of 32 events across the city’s two historic venues, the Auditorio Scavolini and the Teatro Rossini. The opening performance is a new staging of *Le Siège de Corinthe*, conducted by Carlo Rizzi and directed by Davide Livermore, with three additional productions scheduled later in the week.

Other highlights include a revival of *L’occasione fa il ladro*—originally staged by Jean‑Pierre Ponnelle and now restaged by Sonja Frisell—Damiano Michieletto’s *La scala di seta*, and *Il viaggio a Reims* performed by students of the Accademia Rossiniana Alberto Zedda. Concert offerings feature a tribute concert for Juan Diego Flórez, a series of bel canto concerts, and the festival’s closing *Stabat Mater* conducted by Ramón Tebar.
