Rossmann to invest 500 million PLN in Pyskowice warehouse expansion

Rossmann has launched a 500 million PLN expansion of its distribution center in Pyskowice, marking the largest investment in the company’s 33-year history in Poland. The project involves adding 23,000 square meters of space, bringing the facility's total area to 66,000 square meters, equal to the company’s main warehouse in Łódź.

The expansion focuses heavily on automation to increase logistics process efficiency across Poland by approximately 30 percent. New infrastructure includes a high-bay warehouse with 27,000 pallet positions and a shuttle warehouse with roughly 110,000 storage locations. The facility will utilize advanced technologies such as RGV rail vehicles, conveyor systems, and the K. Motion PMS management system to coordinate various zones.

While the Pyskowice center primarily serves drugstores in southern Poland, the technological upgrades are intended to optimize shipments nationwide. The project is expected to create approximately 300 new jobs, and the new system is scheduled to be operational by mid-2027.
