Rossy Lemos clarifies absence from RCN following Chocó earthquake

Journalist Rossy Lemos has addressed rumors regarding her absence from RCN news broadcasts following an earthquake in the Chocó department. Lemos clarified that she has not resigned from the network.

After the earthquake on August 10, Lemos traveled to Quibdó to support affected communities and manage aid requests. During this period, her journalistic work transitioned into humanitarian assistance, including coordinating donations and visibility for victims.

Lemos stated that RCN supported her decision to step away from the studio temporarily to focus on the emergency. The network also reportedly committed to assisting with the reconstruction of her own home in Quibdó, which was damaged during the seismic event.
