Rostec launches mobile transformer production and new aircraft engine prototype

The Russian state corporation Rostec has announced several new industrial developments. The corporation has launched the serial production of mobile transformer stations designed to provide electricity to consumers during emergency situations. These units are engineered to be mounted on wheeled platforms, including field trailers, and are capable of operating in all climatic conditions while supporting various voltages.

Additionally, the United Engine Corporation, a subsidiary of Rostec, has completed the design documentation and approved the prototype for the VK-1600S turboprop engine. This engine is intended for small passenger aircraft, such as the TVS-2DTS. The VK-1600S is described as a first-of-its-kind propulsion system in Russia, with a projected power output of 1,450 horsepower.
