Rostec unveils Dany-T loitering munition in Egypt
The Russian state corporation Rostec has unveiled a new aerial loitering munition, the Dany-T, at an international aviation exhibition in Egypt. The munition features an air-launch capability and a range of up to 450 kilometers.
Weighing up to 270 kilograms and equipped with a small turbojet engine, the Dany-T can be deployed from both aircraft and helicopters. Rostec claims the effectiveness of the munition has been demonstrated through hundreds of successful launches against targets in the conflict zone in Ukraine.
The munition has completed testing as an airborne lethal weapon and is ready for integration with various platforms. An export version is being offered to foreign customers for use with Russian-made aircraft and helicopters, such as the Yak-130, MiG-29, Mi-28N, and Mi-8, as well as with the potential for integration into foreign-made combat aircraft and helicopters.
