Rostov-on-Don military airfield targeted by Ukrainian drones

Ukrainian drone strikes have targeted military aviation assets in the Rostov region of Russia for a second consecutive night. Reports indicate that the Rostov-Central airport was a primary target.

Ukrainian sources claim the strikes resulted in the destruction of several aircraft, including two Mi-8 helicopters, one An-12, and two An-26 transport planes. While Russian regional Governor Yuri Slyusar confirmed that air defenses intercepted drones over Rostov-on-Don, Taganrog, and Bataysk, he did not explicitly mention damage to the military airfield. Local reports noted damage to residential buildings, vehicles, and gas pipelines during the overnight operation.
