Roswell man arrested on child sexual exploitation charges

Ahmed Shengeb, 30, of Roswell, Georgia, has been arrested on six counts of sexual exploitation of children. The arrest followed an investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) into the suspected online possession and distribution of child sexual abuse material.

The investigation was initiated in May 2025 after the GBI’s Child Exploitation and Computer Crimes (CEACC) Unit received a CyberTip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The GBI’s Atlanta Regional Investigative Office and the Roswell Police Department assisted in the case, which is part of the ongoing work of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.

Shengeb was arrested on October 23, 2026, and booked into the DeKalb County Jail. He was able to bond out on October 24.
