Rot-Weiss Essen defeats Würzburger Kickers 6-2

Rot-Weiss Essen secured a dominant 6-2 home victory against Würzburger Kickers in their fifth matchday of the 3. Liga. The win marks Essen's third victory of the season, moving them into second place in the standings and extending an unbeaten streak to five matches.

Essen established a commanding 3-0 lead before halftime with goals from Marek Janssen (24'), Semir Telalovic (29'), and Noah Pesch (44'). Although Würzburg attempted a comeback in the second half with goals from Liam Omore (60') and Franck Evina (64'), Essen responded decisively in the closing stages.
