Rotary Club Bitonto delivers assistance dog to child in San Giovanni Rotondo

The Rotary Club Bitonto ‘Terre dell’Olio’ has completed a two-year project by delivering Zoe, a trained Labrador assistance dog, to a child in San Giovanni Rotondo. The initiative, championed by former president Bobo Samardzic during the 2024/2025 Rotary year, aims to support a child on the autism spectrum.

Zoe underwent one year of specialized training at the ‘Il mio Labrador’ canine school in Macerata, directed by Andrea Zenobi. To ensure a successful integration into the family's daily life, the dog will undergo an additional year of follow-up support with behavioral veterinarian Dr. Maria Teresa Lo Tesoriere.
