Fiume Sacco: Fifteen municipalities form Mayors' Table
Fifteen municipalities in the Frosinone province have signed a protocol at the Prefecture to establish the ‘Tavolo dei Sindaci del Fiume Sacco’ (Mayors' Table of the Sacco River). Led by the Municipality of Frosinone, the initiative aims to create a stable coordination body to monitor the river basin, share data, and respond to environmental emergencies.
The protocol, overseen by Prefect Giuseppe Ranieri, brings together local administrations, the Prefecture, and various authorities including law enforcement (Questura, Carabinieri, and Guardia di Finanza). Participating municipalities include Frosinone, Anagni, Arce, Castro dei Volsci, Ceccano, Ceprano, Falvaterra, Ferentino, Morolo, Paliano, Pastena, Patrica, Pofi, Sgurgola, and Supino.
The group has ninety days to develop an operational program. The coordination will involve regional and technical entities such as ARPA Lazio, the Lazio Region, and the Ministry of Environment to address environmental, health, and security issues related to the river.
