Rotary Club donates emergency trailer to Legnano Civil Protection

The Rotary Club Busto Arsizio Gallarate Legnano “Ticino” has funded the purchase of a new trailer for the Legnano Civil Protection unit to assist in hydrogeological emergency interventions. The equipment is designed to accelerate response times by facilitating the rapid transport of specialized tools, including chainsaws and motor pumps, which are essential for clearing fallen trees and draining flooded areas.

This contribution coincides with the 20th anniversary of the Legnano Civil Protection, which held a three-day celebration at Isola del Castello from September 4 to 6. Since its establishment in 2006, the organization has worked alongside local administrations, law enforcement, fire services, and health services to manage emergencies and monitor the territory.

Luana Cattaneo, President of the Rotary Club, stated that environmental protection is an increasing priority for the organization and that supporting civil protection contributes to community safety. Giuliano Prandoni, President of the Legnano Civil Protection, emphasized that their commitment extends beyond emergencies to include daily territory monitoring and community training.
