Rotary Club launches Verde Comune environmental project

The Rotary Club Valle Telesina has launched the ‘Verde Comune’ project, an environmental sustainability initiative focused on the municipalities of Telese Terme and Castelvenere. An organizational meeting held at the Telese Terme baths brought together local institutions, schools, and community associations to coordinate the effort.

A central component of the plan is a crowdfunding campaign aimed at financing the planting of new trees within the two municipalities. Maria Di Santo, president of the Rotary Club Valle Telesina, has called on local actors to take ownership of the project and develop diverse fundraising initiatives.

Telese Terme Mayor Giovanni Caporaso expressed full support for the initiative, stating it aligns with the administration's environmental policies. The project also includes community awareness activities, with local religious leaders pledging participation based on principles of environmental stewardship.
