Rotary Club of White Rock moves charity book sale to Elgin Park Secondary

The Rotary Club of White Rock has announced that its upcoming Charity Book Sale will be held at a temporary location at Elgin Park Secondary School from August 28 to September 1. The relocation from the usual Centre for Active Living in Centennial Park is due to new flooring being installed at the Peace Arch Curling Club.

The sale will feature thousands of books across various genres, including fiction, history, children’s literature, cookbooks, biographies, and mysteries. Proceeds from the event will fund Rotary charitable projects within White Rock, South Surrey, and surrounding areas.

In a previous sale held in April, the club’s efforts involving over 100 volunteers resulted in approximately $77,000 raised for community initiatives from 4,500 customers. Book donations will be accepted during the upcoming five-day event.
