Italian Rotary and Lions clubs announce new presidents and launch community initiatives

Prefect Raffaele Ricciardi welcomed ten young participants from Belgium, Brazil, Finland, France, Germany, India, Poland, Slovenia, the United States and Turkey at the Lions Youth Exchange Camp in Ravenna, stressing the value of cultural dialogue and mutual respect.

Lina Ricciardello, the first female governor of Rotary District 2110 (Sicily and Malta), made her inaugural official visit to the Rotary Club in Licata, meeting club president Mariaelena Turco, district officials and Interact youth members.

Francesca Suriano was installed as president of the Rotary Club Lamezia Terme during the traditional “Passaggio della Campana”. She outlined three pillars for the 2026‑2027 term: club training, community inclusion and environmental projects, with support from local authorities.

The Lions Club Napoli Host launched a permanent service called “A Tavola con la Solidarità”, providing meals and social support to vulnerable people at the Centro La Tenda and continuing previous food‑bank and fundraising efforts.

Salvatore Mancuso succeeded Maurizio Bloise as president of the Rotary Club Sibari Magna Grecia‑Cassano, presented his executive board and reaffirmed the club’s focus on social assistance and cultural development.

Serafina Teramo took over the presidency of the Rotary Club Scilla Costa Viola, continuing a three‑year strategic plan that includes university collaborations, honorary citizenship awards, geohazard awareness projects and inclusive community events.
