Rotary Clubs launch initiatives for World Polio Day

Various Rotary and Rotaract clubs are organizing events to mark World Polio Day on October 24, supporting the international ‘End Polio Now’ campaign. These initiatives aim to raise awareness about the importance of vaccinations and the ongoing mission to eradicate poliomyelitis.

In Legnano, the Rotary Club Gruppo Olona scheduled events for October 22 and 24, including a symbolic logo projection and a public meeting in Piazza San Magno to discuss the progress made in the fight against the disease over the last 45 years.

In Sardinia, seven Rotary clubs, coordinated by the Rotary Club Bosa, planned an event at Nuraghe Losa in Abbasanta. The program includes the symbolic illumination of the ancient monument with the ‘End Polio Now’ logo and a film screening.

In Fasano, the Rotaract Club Fasano organized a ‘Taboo’ board game tournament at the I.I.S.S. ‘L. da Vinci’ school to engage younger generations in discussions regarding polio prevention and the risks of the highly contagious virus.
