Rotary clubs provide electric wheelchairs to earthquake survivors in Turkey

Rotary clubs, including Nemrut, Istanbul, and Ömerli, have provided electric wheelchairs to earthquake survivors who lost limbs during the February 6, 2023, earthquakes in Adıyaman.

Beneficiaries include Zabit Babacan, who survived 72 hours under rubble and lost two legs and his right arm, and İkra Kızılbay. Babacan noted that the electric wheelchair has enabled him to leave his home and return to work. Nemrut Rotary Club President Emrah Candar stated that the organization continues to support amputees struggling with daily life and rehabilitation following the disaster.
