Rotary District seminars focus on membership and digital innovation

Rotary District seminars in Italy are focusing on evolving membership strategies through community engagement and technological integration.

A seminar held in Matera by Rotary District 2120, attended by the Rotary Club Galatina Maglie Terre d’Otranto, addressed the theme “People. Values. Impact.” The discussions centered on membership not merely as numerical growth, but as the ability to build motivated communities capable of generating concrete local impact. Key topics included the balance between quality and quantity of members, strategies for attracting new professionals, and fostering engagement among younger generations through collaboration with Rotaract.

Looking toward future developments, Rotary District 2102 has scheduled a seminar titled “Beyond Ithaca: New Horizons of Membership” for October 2026 in Rende. This event aims to explore how digital transformation and artificial intelligence can enhance club operations. Proposed topics include using sentiment analysis and AI to understand community needs, digital storytelling to showcase service impact, and leveraging technology to improve member retention and recruitment.
