Rote Rosen celebrates 25th anniversary season

The ARD telenovela ‘Rote Rosen’ is entering its 25th anniversary season, marking 20 years since the series first aired in Lüneburg. The new season is scheduled to begin broadcasting on October 19, airing Monday through Friday at 14:10 on Das Erste, with episodes available 24 hours in advance via the ARD Mediathek.

The anniversary season focuses on the character Flora, played by Theresa Scholze. Flora travels to Lüneburg for her nephew's baptism and her upcoming wedding to her long-term partner Raphael, played by Philip Bender. However, her carefully planned life is disrupted after an encounter with a musician named Tom, played by Nils Brunkhorst, leading her to question her future and the direction of her life.

Producer Jan Diepers noted that the series continues to explore themes of love, letting go, and new beginnings, focusing on women in various stages of life.
