Rotel reintroduces passive speakers with the Amora 5

Rotel has announced the return to the passive speaker market with the introduction of the Amora 5. This move allows the manufacturer to offer a complete, coordinated audio chain ranging from the source and amplification to the speakers.

The Amora 5 is a compact two-way bass reflex speaker featuring a 25-mm silk dome tweeter for high frequencies up to 28 kHz and a 165-mm fabric membrane mid-bass driver. The unit utilizes a resonance-optimized MDF construction and a rear bass reflex port capable of bass reproduction down to 48 Hz. While designed to complement Rotel's own electronics, the speakers are engineered to work with high-end HiFi systems from other manufacturers. The product is available in Matte Black and Matte White finishes and supports both single-wire and bi-wiring configurations.
