Rotimi Amaechi's mother buried in Rivers State

Political leaders and dignitaries gathered in Ubima, Rivers State, for the burial of Mrs. Ezinne Mary Oduah Amaechi, the 89-year-old mother of former Rivers State Governor and ADC Vice Presidential candidate Rotimi Amaechi.

The funeral proceedings included a vigil and service of songs at the Corpus Christi Cathedral in Port Harcourt, followed by a Mass at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church. The event drew prominent figures from across the political spectrum, including ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, National Democratic Congress leader Peter Obi, and former Kano State Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso.

President Bola Tinubu also extended condolences, describing the deceased as a woman devoted to her family and community. The gathering of high-profile opposition leaders highlighted a moment of unity among various political factions during the mourning period.
