Rouen to host 13th FNAAM congress on merchant mariner welfare

The 13th FNAAM congress will take place in Rouen from October 8 to 11, 2026. The event is centered on the theme “Merchant mariners: the forgotten of global crises,” focusing on the mission of welcoming sailors during port calls.

Key activities include the presentation of the “To Seafarers” mission report, which examines the challenges mariners face while waiting in port. The program will feature roundtables discussing the balance between port operational constraints and the ability of sailors to access shore facilities. The congress also aims to highlight the essential role merchant mariners play in global trade.
